My “Did I Mention I Summered in Sicily” Gift Guide 🇮🇹🎁
Italian-Inspired Gift Guide: Best Gifts for 2024
In honor of my White Lotus Season 2 summer — yes, I went to all the filming locations, stayed at Hotel Isola Bella in Taormina, swam on the beach where they found Tanya in Cefalù (RIP Tanya), and ate my weight in spaghetti alle vongole, granita, and amarena gelato, whilst drinking my weight in Crodinos — I present, the Italian-Inspired Gift Guide, the niche luxury gifts from Italy, for Italy lovers. If you want some Italian gifts, or know someone who is Italy obsessed, any of this will be better than any souvenir.
I’ll always say, the best gift is an experience, and in this case, actually GOING to Italy, if you are able. But sometimes a nice wrapped gift is the perfect thing to constantly remind you of your travels, and (don’t say it) add a little (don’t do it bitch) dolce vita into your everyday life (NOOO SHE SAID IT!!! 😩😫). I’m literally so embarrassed about that sentence but I can’t go back.
Let’s get back on track: Italian-inspired gifts for Italy lovers…
In the Italian spirit, I’m gonna rapid fire through these!! Loud and fast!! ANDIAMO, BABYYYY!!!
Unique Gifts for the Italy Obsessed (Holiday 2024)
Ortigia Sicilia Mug — whilst perfume shopping in Sicily, I stumbled across all the beautiful homewares at Oritigia. This mug is so stylish, cool, and perfectly maximalist (so Italian).
Amarena Cherries — I can’t stop eating amarena, and apparently it’s part of my culture, because amarena gelato was as prevalent as cioccolatto and vaniglia.
Luxury Teste di Moro — I’m obsessed with the Moor Heads from Sicily, and I love an artsy, fashionable take on an iconic staple. The best of the best Sicilian gifts.
Alessandro Serpico Fragrance — looking for luxury gifts from Italy? I found this on a small island off the coast of Naples (Ischia) and was taken aback by how beautiful and artisanal each fragrance was. My personal fav: Tabacco.
Crodino — on a recent trip I had 97 of these. They’re non-alc aperol spritzes (aka bitter orange soda). Obsessed!
Handmade martini coupe glasses (Bormioli) — to go with your Crodino and add a luxury flair, an Italian, handmade, gorgeous set of martini coupe glasses.
Colazione a Taormina Profumo — this fragrance I smelled whilst IN Taormina (the name of this is called Breakfast in Taormina) and it’s reminiscent of Roses Vanille by Mancera, and Ristretto Café Intense by Montale. Sweet, gourmand, rosey… so beautiful.
Baci Amaretto Chocolates — these are hard to come by, but if you can find them, they’re DELICIOUS.
Luxury olive oil, or Barbera Sicilian Olive Oil — the mac daddy of italian-themed presents, OLIVE OIL. Fun fact, I might be the descendent of an olive oil empire. That’s another story for another post.
Santa Maria Novella Candle — this literally ancient perfume house was founded in the 1200s in Florence, and they make some seriously impressive, powerful fragrances. Aside from their perfumes, they have beautiful candles… this is so sophisticated, and such a unique gift for any Italy lover!
Bianco Latte Body Cream — an angelic vanilla fragrance from Tuscany, in body cream form. A lotion is WAY safer of a choice than fragrance for a gift than a perfume, btw. And this lotion in particular is fancy as hell.
Bialetti Moka (All Pink) — Italian coffee, in a gorgeous pink color (duh!) to remind you of your Italian summer.
D&G Panettone — does panettone need to cost any more than a few dollars/euros? absolutely not. Is this obscenely overpriced? obviously! but like, COOL??? Luxury panettone??? Talk about niche luxury gifts from Italy!
Assouline Villeggiatura book — a luxe, overpriced (but still cool I swear) coffee table book dedicated to summering in Italy. Nothing says rich more than using the word “summer” as a verb, and this is the printed and bound version of that!
L’amore dish — this is so fucking cute. I have little to say beyond, this is ADORABLE and so chic.
LV x Slim Aarons Italian Rivieras book — another artful coffee table book, with iconic photography from the one and only Slim Aarons. Made by LV!
Davines & Comfort Zone products — How deep is your love for Italy? Enough to use products that are made from ingredients grown on Italian soil? BECAUSE THAT’S WHERE I’M AT, BABY! I went to the farm/lab/factory/headquarters of Davines and Comfort Zone in Parma, Italy, and can confirm… this is hands down one of the all time best beauty brands on the market. Full stop.
Papier Productivity Planner & Wellness Journal — These journals in the Italian Summer print were so on the nose for the vibes this year… and very in line with my Italian-themed presents guide.
